专利说明:

The invention relates to a step element for an escalator and / or a moving walkway, wherein the step element is designed as a light metal die-cast part, including a step plate, at least one transverse rib, guide eyes and drive eyes and the use of a magnesium alloy with the main component magnesium to produce a step element for Escalators or moving walkways.
Known escalators or moving walkways from the prior art are produced in two different manufacturing processes. One possible manufacturing process consists in assembling separately manufactured individual parts to form a step element, the individual parts generally being manufactured from different materials. The disadvantage with such step elements is that the assembly is very complex.
EP 2 173 652 B2 discloses a step element which is produced by means of an aluminum die-casting process and is designed in one piece. Although this saves the complex assembly, the weight of a step element made of an aluminum alloy is relatively high, which is the disadvantage of such an embodiment.
It is the object of the invention to propose a step element for an escalator and / or a moving walkway that is lighter than a step element made of an aluminum alloy known from the prior art and also does not require complex assemblies.
This object is achieved according to the invention in that the light metal is a magnesium alloy with the main component magnesium. One advantage of the magnesium alloy is that the magnesium alloy is lighter than an aluminum alloy. In addition, the object is achieved in that a magnesium alloy with the main component magnesium is used to produce a step element for escalators and / or moving walkways, the step element being produced in a die-casting process.
A magnesium alloy is a metallic magnesium material, the main part of the components being magnesium, further metallic components being added to the magnesium alloy. In addition, non-metallic components can also be added to the magnesium alloy. The magnesium alloy has the advantage of a higher viscosity than an aluminum alloy, which in turn enables components with a smaller wall thickness to be cast. It is therefore possible to cast components with a different structure. A structure developed specifically for the magnesium alloy has the same or even greater strength than steps made of an aluminum alloy, despite the thinner walls.
The inventive step element for an escalator and / or a moving walkway including a step plate, at least one transverse rib, guide eyes and drive eyes. A step element according to the invention preferably has an apron. The step element is designed as a light metal die-cast part, the light metal being a magnesium alloy with the main component magnesium.
The step element is preferably designed in one piece. This means that the step element is made of one piece and contains the components such as the step plate, cross rib, reinforcement rib, guide eye and drive eye, so they do not have to be assembled in an additional process.
According to a preferred embodiment, the magnesium alloy has 8 to 12 percent by weight of aluminum, preferably 8 to 10 percent by weight and at least 0.1 percent by weight of manganese.Manganese reduces the bonding process, which in turn improves the flow properties and the mold filling behavior. By adding manganese, it is possible to reduce the wall thickness of the casting as it reduces the tendency to stick to the mold walls. Manganese also improves corrosion resistance.Aluminum has the property that it improves castability and increases strength due to the formation of mixed crystals.
In addition, the aluminum also improves the corrosion resistance and has a relatively high strength.
In a preferred embodiment, the magnesium alloy has a maximum of 1.0 percent by weight of zinc, preferably 0.001 to 1.0 percent by weight. The magnesium alloy particularly preferably has 0.004 to 1.0 percent by weight zinc. Adding zinc increases the strength.
It is advantageous if the magnesium alloy has 0.001 to 0.2 percent by weight silicon. The addition of silicon reduces shrinkage during solidification and supports the good casting and mold filling properties.
The magnesium alloy preferably has 0.001 to 0.03 percent by weight of copper.
All configuration options can be freely combined with one another.
An embodiment of the invention is described with reference to the figures, the invention not being limited to the embodiment. 1 shows a three-dimensional view of a step element according to the invention for an escalator, FIG. 2 shows a three-dimensional view of a step element according to the invention for an escalator, Step elements for a walkway.
1 and 2 show a step element 1 according to the invention for an escalator. The step element 1 is designed as a step element. 3 and 4 show a step element 1 according to the invention for a travel walkway.
The step element 1 as shown in Figures 1 and 2, as well as the step element 1 shown in Figures 3 and 4 include a step plate 3, at least one transverse rib 4 to reinforce the step plate 3, the transverse rib 4 preferably on the underside the step plate 3 is arranged. The step element 1 has two guide eyes 5, the guide eyes 5 being cast onto the step element 1 and each extending in the two edge areas in the direction of travel of the step element 1. These eyes 5 are used to guide the step element 1 of an escalator and / or a moving walkway. In addition, the step element 1 has drive eyes 6, which are driven by drive means such as a chain in order to move the escalator and / or the moving walkway. The drive eyes 6 are arranged in the edge region of the step element 1 and on the underside of the step plate 3.The step element 1 has reinforcing ribs 7, the reinforcing ribs 7 being arranged on the underside of the step plate 3 and being aligned parallel to the direction of travel. The step element 1 shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 preferably has an apron 2.The step element 1 is designed as a one-piece or one-piece light metal die-cast part, as a result of which high assembly costs can be avoided. The light metal alloy is a magnesium alloy with the main component magnesium.
